Fort Worth DOT Physicals

Dr. Justin Paeltz has been performing DOT physicals since 2014 and understands the requirements commercial drivers must meet to stay certified and on the road.

Drivers visit us from Fort Worth, North Richland Hills, Haltom City, and surrounding areas for a straightforward and efficient exam process.

DOT physicals are $100, and we offer same-day appointments when available. Walk-ins are welcome, but scheduling ahead can help reduce wait times and ensure availability.

A $50 non-refundable deposit is required to reserve your appointment and will be applied toward the total cost of your exam.

Please note: DOT physicals are not performed on Fridays.

What to Expect

Your DOT physical is designed to ensure you can safely perform the essential functions required for commercial driving.

During your visit, we will:

    •    Review your medical history and current medications

    •    Check blood pressure, heart rate, and overall health

    •    Perform vision and hearing screenings

    •    Evaluate basic movement and physical function

    •    Discuss any conditions that may impact driving safety

Once your exam is complete, we document everything according to FMCSA guidelines. You’ll receive the necessary forms for your CDL, along with guidance if any follow-up is needed.

What to Bring

Bringing the appropriate documentation helps your visit go smoothly and avoids delays. Please bring:

    •    Valid photo ID

    •    Current medication list (including dosages)

    •    Glasses or contacts (if required for driving)

    •    Any specialist letters or medical clearance forms

    •    Recent A1C or lab work (if diabetic)

    •    CPAP compliance data (if applicable)
